When to Leave the Driver in the Bag

Supposedly Tiger Woods used his driver only once in winning the British Open in 2006. In his place, he uses low iron and fairway woods. I'm not sure quite sure how often he used his driver, but there was not much know what to emphasize, I advocate in my golf tips and golf instruction as to when the driver left in the bag cuts strokes from your score and your golf -handicap.

Tiger succeeded at the British Open because he played smart golf. This requires strategicPositioning of the ball, if you have, which means, sometimes with the 3-wood, a hybrid club, or a low iron from the tee. Here are some tips when you are with each use.

The 3-Wood

The 3-wood is easier than to meet the driver. It is especially useful if you need to hit the fairway or if you draw or fade the ball on doglegs. It is also beautiful on the holes with tight fairways. Some experienced players use it almost exclusively from the T-shirt. Novices find the 3-wood, a largeSubstitute for the driver most of the time.

Since the 3-wood is easier than the driver to maintain control, it is easier to learn, for a fade or draw with. You have to change significantly your set-up or your swing. The key to draw the collision with one to approach the ball from inside the goal line on a cross-motion. Ends with a draw, the club aims to correct number of redundant positions in the lead. The key to hitting a fade, on the other side is approaching the ball from outside theFinish line. With the fade, the club points to the left side in a released position at the top.

Learn your shots with a 3-wood form is not particularly difficult. It needs only the right technique, visualization and a little bit of practice. With the 3-wood at the right time you can cut your average score and perhaps your golf handicap by at least a couple of strokes.

Low Irons

If you tend to fade in one, your low iron will serve you well off the tee. These clubs are good inwindy conditions, for example, if you are hit in a cross wind or a strong headwind. You can also short par-4s when the fairway. Since you do not turn your wrists if you will to swing, the ball does not run as much as with the 3-wood or driver.

The punch-fade shot, for example, is perfect on windy days. It is developing a low-shot path to cut through the wind. It requires less swing and travel some more out-to-in, production ofBland

Start with a slightly open stance and the ball is positioned towards the middle of the course. To promote Keep your back swing to maintain a steeper angle of attack, while the right arm extends to a bent right wrist through impact. Try not to let your right hand on the release of the left side.

Hybrid Irons

A hybrid club is located on holes with narrow fairways ideal. They are also well on the holes that much to run. You can use a low, hard to draw in order to position your self where you wantmight be or are against a strong headwind. You can use it to replace a low iron if you have a hard time to arrive.

As with a low iron, you take down and through with a hybrid club, rather than to sweep the ball off the tee, as with a fairway wood. To run a draw, set-up with the ball slightly back in your stance, which should be closed, a little. Hood of the club a bit by the toe at the target.

When you swing, approach the ball from the inside, as you usually do when hitting a draw tobut not so much parallel swing in the back. On the way through the ball, turn his hands to remain bent over slightly with his right hand over left (for right) and right wrist. A flat left wrist and right wrist slightly bent key to this shot.

Although none of us are Tiger Woods, we can still play as he. Knowing when to win the drivers to keep in their pockets to help the British Open, Tiger. The same strategy can cut strokes from your scores and slash your golf gameHandicap. Do you think this strategy in view of the next time you are on the golf course.
